Absolutely Loved it, fabulous villa in Dawn Beach/Oyster Pond

spacer I travel to St Maarten with friends and family every year for a few years and stay at different villa each time, but we had the best time ever at Summer Winds this time. The house is located in a gated community and on the top of the hill, so expect to drive steep hills ups and downs to get to the house. But because of that, the view from the villa is absolutely magnificent!! Kitchen is beautifully designed and well equipped, you only need food to stock up. Each room's bedding is clean, new, comfy. Each room has great view too!! The outdoor pool is the BEST of this villa. The infinity pool and the view from the pool is $1M view!! We absolutely had an amazing time at this villa. spacer Most beautiful house we have ever rented. Master bedroom Off the chain w all the doors open views fantastic, bed was so comfortable. Pool was perfect along w outside areas. Very secure w auto blinds and security gate. In a great area w views of marina and st barts. Great kitchen w top of the line appliances and what a view from the window. Living room very comfy very large nice tv. Art work suits island style very sheek and nice quality. I could not stop taking photos of the entire house it was so BEAUTIFUL. Geat landscaping with lots of island flowers. Loved that we got to use house cell phone for calls. Surprised with the walk in closets. AC worked GREAT. A must to do Tijon Perfumery, Fort Louis, Pic Da Paradise, Day Ferry trip to St Barts, Shopping in Phillipsburg, Open air market in Margot on Wed, Maho Beach, Jet ski rental on Waikiki Beach (caution boobies), Carnival Grand Finale Parade, Just exploring the entire island driving yourself. We never go to the same island twice but St Martin and this house would bring us back.

spacer There were four of us staying here. We cannot say enough good things about this beautiful villa. The views are spectacular including views of St. Barthes. The place is professionally decorated with all upscale furnishings. Fantastic gourmet kitchen, outdoor Weber grill. Indoor and outdoor dining areas. Beautiful pool with outdoor half bath that we thought was pretty cool. We have already booked our return visit for the winter and can't wait to return.

spacer The summer winds villa is a little taste of paradise. Every room in the villa itself is gorgeously decorated, and kept clean and beautiful by a woman who cleans five days a week. The beds are so comfortable, the views from every room are stunning, and the outdoor area is unparalleled by anything we've seen before. The fully equipped kitchen has everything one could possibly need. The pool area overlooks the crystal clear ocean, with couches and chairs underneath a gazebo a few feet away, and chaise lounges next to the pool. The waves can be heard softly in the background. Overall, a great place to enjoy a vacation.

spacer For my wife and I's 10th anniversary, I chose St Maarten. Beautiful island with dozens of unique and beautiful beaches(we hit 9 in 7 days). Getting around the island is easy enough. The drive up to villa was fun. The villa is amazing. It was just the two of us, but this villa will easily accomodate 8+. The entire upstairs went unused. The kitchen was far larger than the pictures let on. Dining room was nice, but only used for some board games, since we chose to dine poolside. The family room was largely unused as well, but since we are from Louisville, it was nice to have DirecTV to catch the Kentucky Derby. The master bed is the comfiest bed we've ever slept on. The pool is beautiful and refreshing during the day, but quite chilly(not heated) once the sun sets. It took some getting used to. That cut down on the midnight swims. Is the Mrs. expecting to cut loose and catch some rays sans tan lines? Not at this "private" pool. What the photos don't show are the villa being built next door. The workers have a great view of all pool activities during the day. Not a recipe for a timid wife. Our plane arrived a couple hours late so it was dark by the time we checked in. Not a big deal, we grabbed a Busby's pizza (Philly cheese, A+) and hung at the pool. I proceeded to walk down the steps into the pool and proceeded [unexpectedly] to go right under. That got a good laugh out of both of us. The entire pool is about 8' deep, so don't expect to stand around the pool admiring the view of St. Barts. Other downsides; A washer/dryer is listed as an amenity but they must be behind a locked door. We were told the maid could do laundry at $10 a load. Pass. Every morning we were treated to a couple dogs poolside. Unwanted but tolerable. Not so tolerable are the 3 noisy cats hanging out by the grill and sleeping on the patio table. These are all minor complaints that wouldn't keep us from renting again, but just felt these things should be noted for future vacationers.

spacer My husband, mother and I stayed at this beautiful villa May 16-26, 2013. The drive to the villa was daunting, at first, but we quickly got used to it. The house was very nice with a beautiful kitchen and wonderful master bedroom and bathroom. The place was hot when we first arrived so next time we will request that the air be turned on before we get there. My mother had one of the bedrooms upstairs and especially enjoyed her private balcony. The outside was gorgeous but I agree with the previous comment about the pool. You step off of the last step and the water is over your head. Should be marked for safety reasons. Kanesha took great care in the housekeeping and was very accommodating. We did not encounter any dogs but were annoyed with the cats. They were the only downside to our stay. We look forward to returning next year. Strongy recommend this villa.
