| Villa Pearl was perfect for our two couples. The driver was waiting for us at the airport and we had a great 30 minute drive from the airport to the home and he was knowledgable about the island and had some great tips for us.
Sandra, the house manager was waiting for us when we arrived and gave us a tour of the home and how everything worked. Her husband owns the pizza shop at the bottom of the hill and the pizza is fantastic!!
The rental car company had dropped off our jeep and was waiting for us inside to sign the paperwork. By far the easiest check in I've ever experienced which was appreciated after travelling for 12+ hours to get there.
They had eggs, bread, butter and a 6 pack of beer waiting for us which was a great touch. The house was well equipped and comfortable.
The only issues we had were with the gate, it was not working all the time and we got locked out a few times as the remote on the key chain did not work, nor did the code. Also, they don't supply refills on toilet paper which seemed odd so you may want to pick up a few rolls.
The Super U grocery was a big store with a lot to choose from and reasonable prices, about a 15 minute ride. The butcher at the bottom of the hill was wonderful, they put out roasted chickens each morning and they were delicious. Just a few minutes away was a great wine shop that had an excellent selection as well as great cheeses, sausages and chocolates.
Would highly suggest a trip to Pinel Island and lobsters at Karibuni (sp?), awesome experience. Antoines was some of the best French food I've ever had and the manager was a delight. We went back twice and she remembered us and took great care to ensure our night was perfect. Spent several days on the beach at Orient Beach and there are plenty of good restaurants, lots of parking and beach chairs are $10 per day. Overall a lovely vacation and we are planning to return next year. Highly recommend.
