New Opening of Princess Juliana Airport (SXM)

On November 14th Princess Juliana International Airport marked a monumental milestone with the inauguration of its renewed terminal building. The occasion was graced by Her Royal Highness Princess Beatrix of the Netherlands, honoring 80 years of aviation history on Sint Maarten.
This celebration not only highlights the reopening of a terminal but also commemorates the legacy of Her Royal Highness Princess Juliana, who inaugurated the airport in 1944. Eight decades later, Princess Beatrix unveiled a commemorative plaque, symbolizing the enduring bond between the Dutch Royal Family and Sint Maarten.
As CEO Brian Mingo stated:
"Today, we celebrate not only a new beginning for Princess Juliana International Airport but also the continuation of an 80-year legacy... Our new terminal building reflects the commitment and resilience of our team, standing stronger and better to withstand the storms of tomorrow and deliver the perfect passenger experience."
