| This condo is located right on the beach at the Nettle Bay Beach Club.
When you walk off the deck you are on sand or crushed coral as it is a little rougher than sand, but always cool to walk on even in the hotest weather.
The condo has been recently renovated with new appliances and is stocked with really nice cookware, dishes, etc. The electrical outlets are all the European stye 220 plug- ins so if you are coming from the US you will need an adapter if you want to use your own hair dryer or curling iron, but they do provide both so you could leave yours at home. They do have a US style 120 outlet for charging your cell phone or computer.
You will hear mostly French spoken on this side of the island, but everyone seems to speak English as well and they are generally very friendly. I don't speak much French and the only time it was a problem was trying to understand labels at the grocery store where everything is in French.
The condo is located on a busy street so from the bedroom which is in the back of the condo you can hear some traffic during the day, but when you are at the front of the condo on the beach side all you can hear is the waves lapping up on the shore. The water is incredibly beautiful here with all of the aquas and blues associated with the Caribbean.
You also have a nice view of Marigot and the marina. You can also see the island of Anguilla very clearly. You should plan on renting a car if you stay here.
There are great restaurants on both sides of the complex and a grocery store and bakery within a block, but you are miles from Marigot and Phillpsburg and all of the beaches.
We rented a small car for $250 with all of the fees and taxes for the entire week that we were there.
I would highly recommend this condo though not perfect, but very close. We intend to go back next year.
